Alioramus

Alioramus is part of an unusual branch of tyrannosaurs, the Alioramins. Alioramins are relatively small, lightly-built forms with long, narrow skulls and comparatively large arms. A far cry from the larger tyrannosaurids that everyone knows and loves.

At first thought to be a juvenile Tarbosaurus, it differs in multiple skull features from confirmed juveniles. Alioramus has a row of knobs on the top of its elongate snout, potentially for display. Being longer-snouted and smaller, Alioramus probably exploited a different niche from the larger Tarbosaurus.

We house four Alioramus - two pairs which are alternately displayed on rotation
