Our Mission
The Thomas Henry Huxley Paleozoological Gardens was founded with the following goals:
- To increase public awareness of the earth's past and the life that inhabited it
- To further the sciences of genetics and paleontology
- To counter the Holocene extinction crisis
- To enlighten the public to their place in the world, and how to better it
Today we hold hundreds of animals representing 260 extinct species. We are a global hub for paleobiological research and education, and we wish to spread this forwards. We are proud to be accredited by the Zoo and Aquarium Association and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and a proud member of the International De-Extinction Alliance.
