Suchomimus

Blackbeard

Suchomimus is a spinosaurid that lived in the swamps of Cretaceous Niger. It has a very low hump on its back, as opposed to the massive sail on Spinosaurus and the nothing on Baryonyx. Its skull is long and filled with pointed, conical teeth. Its arms are robust and tipped with large, hook-like claws. Unlike Spinosaurus, it has legs more like normal theropods. Like other spinosaurs, it's well-adapted to fishing.

Blackbeard, our Suchomimus, was the first Mesozoic dinosaur to be successfully de-extincted at Huxley Paleozoo! A genetic deformity required us to amputate his right leg. Now he has a custom-made prosthetic one. He's fond of chilling in the mud in his habitat - it's a swamp, it's got lots of mud.
